Types of water storage:
1. Labyrinth type:
It is usually used for cold storage projects using the cramped space in the raft foundation of buildings. Japanese buildings are often equipped with double-layer seismic raft foundations, and the height of less than 2m is used for cold storage; the civil structure is too complicated and is rarely used.
2. Single slot, multi slot type
It is usually used in situations where the height of the energy storage device is limited; the control of the single-slot vacant storage tank is complicated/low reliability, and steel concrete or steel partitions need to be installed. Multi-tank series storage tanks need to set up several sets of double steel concrete or steel partitions.
3. Natural layered type
The core feature is the use of different densities of water with different temperatures to form a natural stratification of gravity, and the thermocline layer formed by the mixing of cold and heat becomes the separation layer between the cold water area and the hot water area.
